You deserve to have the wedding of your dreams, and even more so, you deserve for it to be captured in a timeless and elegant way by someone you can trust. As a Florida wedding Photographer, I have had countless calls with potential clients. However, not everyone knew what to ask or even really talk about. That’s why today I am sharing the questions to ask your Florida Keys photographers before booking, so that you choose the right one for your big day!

The Logistics

Some of the first questions to ask your Florida Keys Photographer has to be the logistics of your wedding. These are quick questions that won’t need much discussion and may even be answered before you ever get on a call.

  1. Are you available on our wedding date?
  2. Can we collaborate by giving you a “shot list”?
  3. How long after our wedding will it take to get our wedding photos back? Do you offer sneak peeks?
  4. Do you have insurance?
  5. Can we read your contract before making our final decision?

Your Budget

You will find that most photographers package their services differently. Some offer many add-ons, while others keep it simple. Either way, you want the details of their packages before you make your final decision. Consider these questions:

  1. How many hours are included in your packages?
  2. Does this include travel from the ceremony site to the reception venue? Are multiple locations an extra cost?
  3. How many images does this include?
  4. Do you offer complimentary prints or heirloom albums? Do you offer these at an additional fee?
  5. Do you have a travel fee for our location?

Florida Keys Photographers Experience

Suppose you are paying for a luxury photographer. In that case, you want someone who is well-experienced in the field because wedding photography takes on a different set of skills than other forms of photography. Consider asking these questions to get an idea of the photographers experience:

  1. How many weddings have your photographed?
  2. What size weddings do you have experience photographing?
  3. What is your experience directing large groups for family photos or bridal party photos?
  4. Have you ever photographed at our venue before?
  5. Where can I find past wedding galleries of yours?

Florida Keys Photographers Personality

Throughout your phone call, take note of how you feel talking with your photographer. After all, this will be the person who will follow you around your entire wedding day! You should enjoy their presence as well as share the same expectation for professionalism.

  1. What is your approach for directing photos and posing?
  2. What is it like to work with you on a wedding day?
  3. How will you balance our friendship/relationship and remaining professional?
  4. How well do you work with unforeseen circumstances?
  5. What are your expectations as a vendor?

You deserve only the best Florida Keys Photographers for your wedding day! If you like what you see here, reach out and let’s chat to see if we would be a good fit!
