I recently got to capture a gorgeous engagement session at The Moorings in Islamorada for a lovely couple with Morgan and Jacob. It was such a beautiful location, and this couple made the session even more amazing with their love and chemistry. The Moorings is a hidden gem in Islamorada, where the turquoise water meets the lush greenery. It provided the perfect backdrop for Morgan and Jacob’s engagement photos. As a photographer, I’m always on the lookout for unique locations that will make my couples feel comfortable and allow their personalities to shine through. And The Moorings did not disappoint! Morgan and Jacob arrived at the location looking absolutely stunning. Morgan wore a stunning silk white dress, and Jacob with a button-down shirt and khaki pants. Their outfits complemented each other so well and added a touch of elegance to the photos.
Firstly, we started the engagement session by taking some photos near the beach between the palm trees. The soft sand and gentle waves created a romantic and dreamy atmosphere. Morgan and Jacob were so natural in front of the camera, hugging, laughing, and sharing sweet moments together. It was clear that they were deeply in love, and it made my job as a photographer so much easier. Next, we got some shots on the stairs in front of this incredible house. Then we took some along the porch that wrapped around the house. These photos feel so grand and elegant, and it was the perfect place to showcase these two lovers.
Finally, as the sun started to set, we moved to our last spot that had a stunning pier overlooking the water. The golden hour light cast a warm glow on Morgan and Jacob creating a magical ambiance. We captured some beautiful shots with the pier and the ocean as the backdrop, showcasing the couple’s love and happiness. I couldn’t be happier with how the engagement session turned out. The Moorings provided the perfect setting for Morgan and Jacob’s love story. I’m so grateful to have been a part of their journey and to witness the love they have for each other.
