Location and History of the Ringling Museum

The Ringling Museum was originally constructed as a Mediterranean Revival-style mansion for business moguls John and Mable Ringling, yes, of Ringling Circus! Since its construction in 1926, Ringling Museum has become a beautiful piece of history here in Sarasota Bay. It’s a prime location, within walking distance of the airport and right on the water. 

Venue Spaces at the Ringling Museum

When you choose to host your wedding at the incredible Ringling Museum, you’ll get a few venue options to choose from. The first is the breathtaking Museum of Art Courtyard, where you’ll be surrounded by statues and incredible architecture. The Courtyard can hold a maximum of 400 guests for your special night. 

Your second option is the Terrace of Ca’ d’Zan and the Bolger Campiello, another outdoor venue hosting up to 175 guests. Framed by palm trees and the gorgeous outdoor architecture, you can enjoy your wedding night against the open water. I’m not kidding when I say these are the most gorgeous views of the Sarasota Bay you’ll ever see. 

Amenities Offered

Ringling Museum Weddings include wedding access from 6-11pm, and when available, will also include private access to the nearby galleries for you and your guests. Your rental will include complete security for the event, a one-hour wedding rehearsal, and the support of a Ringling event specialist.
